“Bright Sunny Day “Uterne solar power project

In the local Arrente language “Uterne” means “bright sunny day”and is the perfect name for southern hemisphere’s largest tracking solar power plant in Alice Springs. Alice Springs is the third largest town in the Northern Territory. Alice springs is situated in the geographic center of Australia near the southern border of the Northern Territory.

Next to Uterne I (1Mw) solar power plant, Uterne II is constructed by Sunpower Corporation. http://www.sunpower.com.au/solar-power-plants/.

This new PV power plant will be 3.1Mwp. There will be 9464 ultra efficient Sunpower PV modules installed in a T10 single axis tracking system.
