What Is A Switchboard?

Electric switchboards distribute electricity from one electrical source to a load. They play an essential part in the power distribution process. They are made up of several electric panels that each contains switches that redirect the flow of electricity with a means of protection and isolation.

An electrical switchboard can be either a single large panel or a combination of electrical panels upon which other switches and power controls can be integrated.

The West Coast Eagles – The current AFL Premiership champions are moving to a new state of the art sports training facility due for completion in 2019 in Lathlain Park. The facility is intended to enhance the performance of the football club, engender team spirit and meet elite level sports training requirements.

This huge project formed over three storeys with external façade lighting includes administrative offices, auditorium, meeting rooms, gymnasium areas, pool area, retail stores, cafes and sports science areas. Dara Switchboards was subcontracted to provide the facility’s main switchboard, supplying and managing power through the entire construction.

A team of 15 highly specialised Dara Engineering staff designed and manufactured the switchboards with a tight schedule and supplied them the site completing the project in a record 5 weeks.

Steinert – A leading metal separation and waste recycling company, Steinert currently tackles sustainability issues such as creating energy from waste (EfW). Steinert uses a range of magnetic and sensor-based equipment to extract both non-combustible and higher-value recyclable substances from assorted waste areas.
